Handcrafted in Japan from cherry wood, this butter dish showcases the timber’s naturally warm reddish-brown colour and smooth, tactile finish. The surface is treated with natural beeswax, helping protect the wood while allowing its character to develop with use. Designed with everyday rituals in mind, the wooden base gently receives a metal butter knife, avoiding the harsh clatter of metal on ceramic or glass. Keeping butter in its wooden case also helps buffer it from sudden temperature changes when moving between the refrigerator and table. Read Less
