Mike & Cate King

Based on the wild East Coast of Aotearoa, Mike and Cate operate King Bees where the roads turn to gravel and the landscape stays raw and untouched. They live a life spent close to the land, keeping bees, raising their family, and learning from the seasons as they go.

King Bees Mānuka honey is sourced from the raw, untamed East Coast of New Zealand. Infused with sea spray, sun-warmed hills, and the wild rhythm of nature, every jar captures the essence of an untouched landscape, pure, potent, and straight from the hive.

We chat to Mike and Cate about their favourite Everyday Needs items and things they use daily within their cabin.

I currently have my eye on these stunning cushions. These colours sing to me and would be the perfect edition to our cabin corner sofa.

2. Sea Salt Soap

We love a good bar of soap. Mike especially. The packaging by Swedish Dream is awesome and this soap is a dream to use. We were gifted this last year and loved it!

3. Oversized Kitchen Towel // Blue Check + Red Stripes

With 4 kids we have a busy household! And always alot of dishes to be done. This chore can be elevated simply by using a beautiful quality tea towel. I've had my eye on this stunning oversized checked tea towel for a while now.

We love supporting other NZ brands as much as we can. Abel fragrances are my favourite and their new packaging and bottles are so beautiful. Cobalt Amber is my pick.
