Built on the idea of reimagining our turbulent relationship with the rain, Okewa was founded in the windiest city in the world, Wellington, New Zealand, and is Nevada and Nick Leckie's nod to their homeland, the land of the long white cloud. 

In Te Reo Māori, the word 'Okewa' means large grey raincloud / grey stone and the jackets that Okewa designs are intended for any very wet, sophisticated city the world over, where we humans are at the whim of mighty mother nature.
