Lorna Murray

Lorna Murray is the namesake label of Australian designer based in Sydney, specialising in handmade hats. The hats are made collaboratively from all natural materials in South East Asia by skilled artisans under ethical and sustainable practices. Every step of this process is considered; grass fibre is grown by farmers specifically for hand weaving on traditional looms, celebrating traditional technique.

 

Lorna Murray is inspired by rich craft-based histories, eclectic urban environments and natural landscapes. Informed by a background in the visual arts, Lorna developed the Capri Hat over 20 years ago — a clever foldable design that allows for easy packing on your travels.
