Stitchwallah was established in New Zealand in 2019 by Hilary Niederer who has over a decade of experience of costume work in Hollywood. After working on a Bollywood movie in India where she met her husband and stayed on she was able to build relationships with work with local weavers, printers and other artisans to help create her distinct Ikat patterns.
