South Island Soap
Marlborough Sounds Lavender
Natural soap made in the South Island of New Zealand by Callie who lives in the Marlborough Sounds, two hours drive from Havelock. She lives with her husband; a farmer in an old army hut, one is her studio, the other they live in. They have angora goats which provide milk for her soaps. And sheep too. Callie spins her own wool and makes soaps in her studio. Her soap is available in three lovely scents, see also Lemon and Clove, Cedar & Peppermint.
Ingredients in the soaps are as follows: raw goats milk from Callie's goats; olive oil from Italy; coconut oil from the Pacific Islands; imported organic cocoa butter; sodium hydroxide, avocado oil, lard and lanolin (sheep grease) - all sourced locally. Beeswax and Lavender essential oils from the Marlborough Sounds and other imported essential oils. A little bit of henna or Spirulina powder as a natural colorant.
