Walk in the Park is husband and wife team Sam and Jiho who work from a tiny woodturning studio in Titirangi, West Auckland. Sam is the woodworker and Jiho helps with design as well as photographing and packaging their products. The pair make everything in very small batches and by hand, with a ecologically friendly practice using natural materials which are locally purchased. Their high quality timber is sourced from Matamata and locally in Auckland. The name Walk in the Park implies happiness; moving slowly and paying attention to your surroundings, an idea that is reflected in their thoughtful wooden pieces.
